How the PadBuddy macOS app ("the app") handles your information. The app is an unofficial, third-party client for CoderPad, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by CoderPad, Inc.
Summary
The app collects, transmits, and sells no personal data. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no developer-operated server. It talks only to CoderPad's own API, using an API key you supply.
What the app stores, and where
- Your CoderPad API key stays in the local macOS Keychain. It leaves your Mac only in requests sent directly to CoderPad's API.
- Preferences and a local cache (selected account, last-viewed section, saved searches, favorite questions, and cached pads/questions) stay on your Mac, uploaded nowhere.
What the app sends, and to whom
Requests go directly from your Mac to CoderPad's API (https://app.coderpad.io, or a
self-hosted/regional URL you configure) to read and manage the pads, questions, organization, and
quota your account already accesses, authenticated with your API key. CoderPad's handling of that
data is governed by CoderPad's privacy policy, not this one.
Data collection
The app collects no data for the developer. Its bundled
PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest declares no tracking, no tracking domains, and no
collected data types.
Children
The app contains no objectionable content, is suitable for all ages, and knowingly collects no information from anyone, including children.
Your control
Remove your API key and all local data at any time by removing the account in Settings, or by deleting the app. There are no developer-side accounts to delete.
